TrapFree Wallet — terms

Last updated 18 October 2026Draft for legal review

Draft for legal review. Ascendify's lawyer is reviewing this page; it is not final yet. Items in brackets are still being filled in.

On this page

1. What the wallet is

  1. The TrapFree Wallet holds minutes of extra time that you buy in packs. You can spend them to open YouTube, Instagram, Shorts + Reels, or a site on your own block list while it is blocked for you (for example after your daily limit or your Verticals minutes are used up). TikTok is never opened by the wallet.
  2. Minutes belong to your TrapFree account and work on every device signed in to it where TrapFree offers the wallet (see 2.4). They stay through reinstalls.
  3. Minutes never expire.
  4. Wallet minutes are not money. They cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another account, or used for anything other than extra time in TrapFree.
  5. The wallet is optional. The two free doors ("3 min now" and "2 min later") are always there, and a wallet spend never uses up or hides a free door.

2. Buying minutes

  1. Pack sizes and prices are shown on every buy button before you pay (for example "30 min · ₹19"). The price is the total you pay, with any tax included; nothing is added at checkout. No pack is pre-selected, there is no automatic recharge and there is no countdown on a purchase screen. "Not now" is always there, the same size as the buy button.
  2. You agree by pressing a button that carries the price ("Pay ₹19"). We keep a record of what you were shown and agreed to for at least 3 years.
  3. You pay through:
    • Razorpay (India, on our website, used by the Mac and Windows apps);
    • Paddle (outside India, on our website; Paddle.com is the seller of record for those sales);
    • Google Play (Android app);
    • Apple (iPhone and iPad app). Each provider's own terms apply to the payment.
  4. Minutes bought in one place work on every device of your account where TrapFree offers the wallet. If Apple does not allow the wallet on iPhone, your minutes still work on your other devices (see How TrapFree works).
  5. You get a receipt for every purchase in the app's purchase history, and by email if your account has an email address. GST (purchases on our website in India): until Ascendify is registered for GST, no GST is charged and you get a receipt. Once it is registered, the price includes 18 % GST, the pay page says "GST included", your receipt is a GST tax invoice, and a refund gets a numbered credit note. Outside India, Paddle's invoice shows any tax it charged.
  6. There is a daily purchase limit to prevent fraud. If you reach it, we tell you: "Daily purchase limit reached — try again tomorrow."
  7. You must be 18 or older and signed in to buy minutes.
  8. Your first wallet purchase may include bonus minutes (a first top-up bonus, one per person); if it does, the buy button shows them before you pay (for example "30 min + 10 min first top-up · ₹19"). A refund counts that purchase's paid minutes still in your wallet first and refunds only those; the bonus minutes from that purchase still in your wallet are then removed with it. Bonus minutes are not refundable on their own and are never paid out as money.
  9. Minutes are added as soon as the payment provider confirms your payment, usually within seconds; some UPI payments (and pending Google Play payments) take longer and the app shows "Confirming your payment". Our website's pay page says this before you pay. If money is taken and no minutes arrive within [24 hours], write to [email protected].

3. Spending minutes

  1. Spending is a separate step. You choose how many minutes to use (the choices offered are [5, 10, 15 and 30] minutes, only those up to your balance, at most [60] minutes at a time) and for which blocked site.
  2. Before every spend TrapFree shows a yellow warning with the money and minutes you have spent on extra time this month, the cost of this spend and your balance after it. The "Yes, spend" button stays locked for at least 5 seconds; "No, go back" always works and is the same size. Our server and the TrapFree engine both enforce the wait, so it cannot be skipped.
  3. Once you confirm, the minutes leave your wallet and the site opens at once, on all your devices where TrapFree offers the wallet, for that many minutes of clock time. The clock runs whether you watch or not, and unused time from a spend is not returned.
  4. You can spend only while that site is blocked for you (or to extend time already open). Spending more on a site that is already open adds the minutes to the end, up to 180 minutes ahead.
  5. Paid time does not use up your free daily minutes or your Verticals minutes.
  6. During Focus Lock you cannot spend wallet minutes. Focus Lock ends at the time you chose.
  7. Spending needs an internet connection: "The wallet needs an internet connection."
  8. A day on which you use wallet minutes counts as a day over your limit in your streak.

4. Refunds

These are the same rules as the refund policy.

  1. Website purchases (Razorpay, Paddle): within 14 days of a purchase you can ask for a refund of that purchase's minutes that are still in your wallet (the purchase's minutes, up to your current balance). We refund that share of the price within 7 days of approving it. Minutes you have already spent are not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
  2. EU and UK customers: you have a 14-day right to withdraw. Because the minutes are a digital service you can use at once, you are asked before paying to confirm: "I want my minutes now. I understand I lose my right to withdraw for minutes I have already used." Without that box the purchase cannot go ahead, and your receipt repeats it. To withdraw, press Withdraw from contract here next to the purchase on your account page, then Confirm withdrawal on the page that shows the purchase and where your confirmation goes, or write to us (the refund policy, section 4, has a model form). We confirm by email at once, with the date and time we received it, and refund the unused share as in point 1 within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal.
  3. Google Play and App Store purchases: refunds go through Google's or Apple's own process; we point you there and help if we can. If Google or Apple refunds a pack, the refunded pack's minutes that are still in your wallet are removed.
  4. Chargebacks: if a bank dispute about a website purchase succeeds, it counts as a refund. If the decision is reversed, the minutes come back.
  5. A refund removes the refunded minutes from your wallet. It never affects your free doors or your protection.
  6. Ask for a refund on your account page (ascendify.pro/trapfree/account → Wallet), where your request gets a request number at once, or by writing to [email protected], where our reply is your confirmation. To complain, use the complaint form on our website (ascendify.pro/trapfree/legal/complaint, or from your account page), write to our grievance officer (details on the contact page, ascendify.pro/trapfree/legal/contact) or use Settings → Support → Make a complaint in the app. The form gives you a ticket number and a copy of your complaint at once; by email you get them within 48 hours. We resolve every complaint within one month.

5. Your account

  1. Deleting your account deletes your wallet balance. Ask for a refund of unused website-purchased minutes first if you want one.
  2. If we close an account for fraud or abuse, we refund unused minutes from purchases that were not fraudulent.
  3. The 3-day test program uses test money (₹100 per test account) on a separate test wallet. Test money and minutes bought with it have no value, never mix with a real account and are never paid out.

6. Changes

We may change pack sizes, prices and the spend choices for the future at any time; the price shown when you pay is the price you pay. We will not reduce minutes already in your wallet. The warning will never be shorter than 5 seconds. [If price experiments run: different people may see different pack prices; the price on your button is always the price you pay.] Any discount shows the lowest price of the previous 30 days (from 1 January 2027).

If we pause the wallet, your minutes stay in your account until it is back. If we stop offering the wallet or TrapFree, we refund the unused minutes from website purchases at the price paid.

7. Seller

Ascendify (proprietor: Aman Krishna Gupta), Block No. 13, Phase 2, Maa Narmade Nagar, Bilhari, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh 482020, India, GSTIN 23BIHPG9767J1ZT, [email protected], grievance officer Aman Krishna Gupta, [email protected]. These terms are governed by Indian law; this does not take away any right the law of your country gives you as a consumer.
