What does TrapFree block?
Shorts, Reels and TikTok, always, and adult sites: setup turns the adult-content filter on in every setting. YouTube and Instagram each get a daily budget of 5, 10 or 15 minutes that you choose. The categories you set at setup (social media, shopping, gaming and more) open only as often as their level allows. You can add your own sites to a block list.
When do my minutes come back?
24 hours after the first minute you used. If you first opened YouTube at 09:30, its minutes are back at 09:30 the next day. The app and the block page always show the exact time.
Can I change my limit?
Yes, for YouTube and Instagram separately. A stricter limit works at once. A looser one waits a random 3 to 4 days, so a weak moment can't undo a decision you made calmly.
What are categories?
Social media, Movies & series, Shopping, Gaming, Betting & gambling and News & browsing. Each has a level, from “Rarely” (no limit) to “Can't stop” (once a week, 1 hour), that you set at setup. Above the first level, a category stays closed until you open it on the Today screen of any of your devices, a set number of times a day or a week.
An open runs to its end whether you use it or not, and counts on all your devices. Opening a category is free. A stricter level works at once; a looser one waits a random 3 to 4 days.
Why does setup ask my age and where I live?
To start your sliders where they help people like you the most, and to add the local apps and sites that pull people where you live: for example, in India the short-video apps popular there are always blocked too. Everyone with the same answers gets the same suggestion.
Every answer is optional, and “Rather not say” keeps nothing. There is no GPS and no location permission: your country comes from your device, and your state only if you press “Find my state” (our server looks up the approximate place of your internet address and keeps nothing) or pick it. You can remove your answers in Settings.
What are the doors?
“3 min now” opens a closed sector at once for 3 minutes, once a day, for something urgent. “2 min later” waits 3 to 5 minutes, then opens for 2 minutes; you have three a week. Both are free. TikTok, Shorts and Reels never open.
How does the wallet work?
You buy minutes in packs; the price on every button is the total you pay. To spend minutes, you choose a site and an amount, then a yellow warning waits 5 seconds and shows what you have spent this month. Bought minutes never expire and work on all your devices.
Unused minutes from a website purchase can be refunded within 14 days.
Does TrapFree see what I watch?
No. TrapFree decides on your device. Our server never receives page addresses, video titles, searches or page content. On computers the filter opens only YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok; every other site passes through unopened.
Which devices does it work on?
No TrapFree app is out yet. In development: Mac, Windows, Android, iPhone and iPad. Each platform allows different tools, so what TrapFree can block differs a little: the How it works page says exactly what works where.
How do I cancel Pro?
It depends on where you bought it. On our website: on your account page here, in at most two clicks and one confirmation (“Cancel contracts here” at the bottom of every page). App Store or Google Play: in that store's subscription settings; only Apple or Google can cancel it. A free trial or an invitation: nothing to cancel, Pro ends by itself. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for, and nothing that protects you switches off.
How do I remove TrapFree?
On a Mac or Windows PC, choose Remove TrapFree in the app: a random 14 to 23-hour wait follows, then you have 90 minutes to confirm. On phones, switch it off or uninstall it at any time. Removing it never cancels a subscription, and cancelling never needs removing it.
How do I delete my account?
On the Delete your account page, without an app: enter your phone number or email, type the code we send, read what will be deleted, then confirm. If your account has both a phone number and an email address, we send a code to each, so someone who gets your old phone number can't delete your account. If your account has both a phone number and an email address and you changed one of them in the last 7 days, deleting waits until those 7 days are over. A Pro subscription bought on our website is cancelled for you; App Store and Google Play subscriptions must be cancelled in those stores.
Is there an age limit?
Yes. TrapFree is for people aged 18 and over.
How do I get help or complain?
Write to our customer care, call or WhatsApp us, or write to our grievance officer for a formal complaint. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month. The Contact us page has every address, number and our hours.
